(a) the funds allocated/released/utilised under the Central Road and
Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) to States during the last three years and
the current year, State and year-wise;
(b) the details of roads constructed and in progress in Andhra
Pradesh under CRIF during the said period, including their length,
cost, type and specific location;
(c) whether the Government has received any proposals from the
Government of Andhra Pradesh seeking additional proposals and
funds for the construction or upgradation of State and district roads
and if so, the details thereof including the response of the
Government to such requests;
(d) whether any CRIF-funded road projects in Andhra Pradesh have
faced delays in execution or cost overruns and if so, the reasons
therefor including the steps taken to address such delays or cost
overruns; and
(e) whether the Government has undertaken any review or audit of
the quality, timeliness or outcomes of CRIF-funded road projects in
Andhra Pradesh and if so, the findings thereon?ANSWER

(a) The Government in Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
allocates funds to the State Governments / Union Territories (UTs)
for development and maintenance of State Roads under the Central
Road & Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) Scheme as per the provisions of
the amended CRIF Act, 2000.
State / UT - wise details of accrual and release of funds for
development and maintenance of State roads under CRIF Scheme
during the last three years and current year are at Annexure.
(b) 20 State Road projects in 691 km length costing ₹535 Crore
have been completed under CRIF Scheme in the State of Andhra
Pradesh during the last three years and current year.
At present, 55 State Road projects in 534 km length costing
₹1,256 Crore are under construction under CRIF Scheme in the
State of Andhra Pradesh.
(c) 57 State Road projects in 718 km length costing ₹1,928 Crore
have been approved under CRIF Scheme in the State of Andhra
Pradesh during the last three years and current year.
(d) and (e) Based on the section 7A and 11 of CRIF Act, 2000,
Government finalized the criteria for allocation of funds for
development and maintenance of State Roads under the CRIF
Scheme, which inter-alia provides for implementation of the
projects to be done by the State Government along with project
monitoring and quality control of works to be done at State/UT level
