PROMOTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE OF AURANGABAD

Will the Minister of CULTURE be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the funds sanctioned and utilised for preservation of centrally protected
monuments in Aurangabad Lok Sabha Constituency and district-wise in Bihar during
the last three years and the current year;
(b) the current status of conservation work at historical sites in Aurangabad district;
(c) whether any new monument in Aurangabad has been declared centrally protected and
specifically, if Tikari Fort (Tekari Kila) added in Tikari segment; and
(d) the details of the steps taken by the Government to promote cultural heritage of
Aurangabad and Magadh regions?

(a) There are 70 nos. of centrally protected monuments under the jurisdiction of
& Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the State of Bihar including 01 monument in
(b)
Aurangabad Lok Sabha Constituency. ASI takes up conservation and preservation works
of these monuments/sites as per the need and availability of resources subject to the
National Policy for Conservation and it is a continuous process. The details of the funds
sanctioned and utilised for conservation, preservation and maintenance of centrally
protected monuments/sites in the state of Bihar during the last three years and the
current year are given as under:

interaction with local people are organized on the occasion of World Heritage Day,
World Museum Day, World Heritage Week amongst school children, general public and
