SHRI ARVIND GANPAT SAWANT: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the details of the number of proposals received and approved under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), State-wise; (b) the details of funds approved and released under the said Mission during each of the last three years, State-wise; (c) the details of works approved and completed under the said Mission in Maharashtra during the said period, city-wise; and (d) the details of the funds approved and released for these works in Maharashtra during the said period, city- wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) & (b) Under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), which was launched on 25 June 2015, the States/ Union Territories (UTs) were empowered to select, appraise, prioritise and implement the projects. The Apex Committee of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs constituted under the ambit of the Mission approved the State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) on recommendations of the State Level High Powered Committee. Against the approved plan size of ₹77,640 crore, the States/ UTs have taken up 6,008 projects worth ₹83,463 crore. State/UT-wise details of projects taken up under AMRUT is given in Annexure-I. The State-wise details of Central Assistance approved for projects under AMRUT and funds released during the each of the last three years is given in Annexure-II.
