M P ABDUSSAMAD SAMADANI: पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ी Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is considering any administrative proposal to establish a new off- campus centre or specialised regional hub of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) in Kerala, on the lines of its existing operational centres in Sivasagar and Bengaluru, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether any baseline feasibility study or land identification assessment has been conducted in coordination with the State Government of Kerala to utilise the State's strategic maritime infrastructure and active petroleum refining ecosystem, if so, the details thereof; (c) the scope for introducing specialised post-graduate and research programmes tailored to coastal energy dynamics, hydrogen technology and LNG port management at the proposed location; and (d) the details of the potential funding framework and technical collaborations envisaged with Public Sector Undertakings such as BPCL Kochi Refinery for sponsoring industry-linked research laboratories? ANSWER पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ालय म(cid:336) रा(cid:475)मं(cid:361)ी ((cid:373)ी सुरेश गोपी) THE MINISTER OF STATE IN MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM & NATURAL GAS (SHRI SURESH GOPI) (a): Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), an ‘Institution of National Importance’ was established through an Act of Parliament in year 2007 at Jais, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. The prime objective of the Institute is to provide quality education, training and research to roll out efficient human resources and to meet the growing requirements of the Petroleum and Energy industry. As part of its expansion and development plan, two centres namely- Assam Energy Institute (AEI), Sivasagar, Assam and Energy Institute, Bengaluru (EIB), Karnataka have already been set up. Presently, there is no administrative proposal under consideration, to establish any new off- campus centre or specialised regional hub of RGIPT in Kerala. (b) to (d): Do not arise. ****
