SHRI SATPAL BRAHAMCHARI: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government proposes to provide stoppages of major trains in Haryana for strengthening of railway services, if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government has acceded to the demand for stoppage of train no. 22451/22452 (Chandigarh-Bandra-Chandigarh) at Sonipat, train no. 12421/12422 (Amritsar-Hazur Sahib Nanded) at Jind and train no. 20423/20424 and 22479/22480 at Julana Railway Station in Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency, if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government proposes to introduce any new train from Gohana to be run via Ringas- Jaipur; (d) if so, the current status thereof; and (e) the time by which it is likely to be introduced? ANSWER MINISTER OF RAILWAYS, INFORMATION & BROADCASTING AND ELECTRONICS & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI ASHWINI VAISHNAW) (a) to (e) As the Railway network straddles across boundaries of States/Constituencies, trains are operated/stoppages are provided, as per network requirement, across such boundaries. Sonipat station is being served by 62 services, Jind by 81 services and Julana by 21 train services. 22451/22452 Bandra (T) - Chandigarh Express has scheduled stoppage at Panipat near Sonipat while 12421/12422 Hazur Sahib Nanded-Amritsar Express has scheduled stoppage at Rohtak and Narwana near Jind. Similarly, 20423/20424Seoni-Firozpur Cantt Express and 22479/22480 New Delhi-Lohian Khas have scheduled stoppages at Jind near Julana. At present, Gohana-Jaipur sector is being served by 01 pair of train services. Besides, provision of stoppages and introduction of new train services are on-going processes on Indian Railways subject to operational feasibility, traffic justification etc. *****
