Parliament Question: Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS DEPARTMENT OF FERTILIZERS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2275 TO BE ANSWERED ON 12.12.2025 Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited 2275: SHRI MADHAVANENI RAGHUNANDAN RAO:

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the production at Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) is ongoing, if so, the current production level thereof;

(b) the details of the production and consumption of fertilizers at RFCL since its inception, year- wise;

(c) whether any allegations of irregularities in employment at RFCL have been reported, if so, the details thereof along with the action taken to address these issues;

(d) the measures being taken to ensure transparency and fairness in the recruitment process at RFCL; and

(e) the current financial status of RFCL along with the plans for future expansion or development? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS & FERTILIZERS (SMT. ANUPRIYA PATEL)

(a) & (b): The Urea Plant at Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) is currently operating at approximately 92% of its rated capacity. For FY 2025-26, RFCL has produced 4.80 Lakh MT of Urea as on 30.11.2025. The year wise details of the production and consumption/sales

of Urea at RFCL since its inception are given as under:

(c) & (d): The recruitment process in RFCL is strictly as per the Board approved Recruitment Policy & Recruitment Rules of RFCL, and any complaint on employment related issues are dealt by RFCL as per the relevant policy.

(e): As on 30.09.2025, RFCL is having net worth of Rs. 1,60,547.42 Lakhs which includes equity share capital of Rs. 1,89,025 Lakhs and negative reserves of Rs. (28,477.58) Lakhs. RFCL is also having long term borrowings of Rs. 2, 72,894.49 Lakhs and short-term borrowings of Rs. 65,436.85 Lakhs.

At present, there is no plan for any future expansion of RFCL. *******
