AI\SWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (sHRr B.L.VERMA) (a) to (d): The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing 'Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY)' a component of Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana (AVYAY) with the objective to provide to senior citizens, with the monthly income of not more than Rs. 15000/- and suffering from age related disabilities/ infirmities, with such physical aids and assisted living devices which can restore near normalcy in their bodily functions. The Scheme was launched on 01.04.2017. The Scheme is implemented through the 'Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO) of India', (a Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment) as the sole implementing Agency. There is no maximum beneficiaries limit under RVY. The number of beneficiaries are identified through assessment camps organized by ALIMCO and through walk in Pradhan Mantri Divyasha Kendra PMDK centers, throughout the country.
