PARMAR JASHVANTSINH SALAMSINH SHRI CHUNNILAL GARASIYA Will the Minister of CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION be pleased to state: (a) the number of electronic products currently showing the Repairability Index via QR codes on packaging or on e-commerce platforms; (b) the number of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that have started selfdeclaring the Repairability Index for their electronic products as of December 2025; (c) the total number of brands registered on the Right to Repair Portal as of December 2025; (d) whether the Ministry has ensured that major brands are scoring the 11 priority spare parts under the “availability within a reasonable timeline” parameter; and (e) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE, CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (SHRI B.L VERMA) (a) to (e) : At present, there is no specific provision under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 mandating electronic products to display the Repairability Index (RI) through QR codes on packaging or on e- commerce platforms. The Department has launched, the Right to Repair Portal India (https://righttorepairindia.gov.in/) to provide consumers with an easy access to information for repairing their products and enabling them to reuse it. A total of sixty-six (66) companies have been on-boarded on the Right to Repair Portal, India. *****
