(a) whether the Government has reviewed the impact of evolving global
geopolitical developments on export-dependent industries, migrant workers
and international trade relation associated with Moradabad district, Uttar
Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details of diplomatic contacts, trade facilitation and advisory
support to mitigate the impact of external disruptions to the livelihood and
market access in the districts; and
(c) the details of the proposed policy measures by the Government to
enhance the resilience of local industries and workers against international
uncertainties?

(a to c) The Government closely monitors all developments that have a
bearing on the safety, security, well-being and livelihoods of its nationals.
The Government’s various initiatives including the recently launched Export
Promotion Mission (EPM) is aimed at supporting the exporters. The EPM
addresses key export constraints including limited trade finance, market
access barriers, high logistics costs and compliance bottlenecks through
two integrated sub-schemes – Niryat Protsahan and Niryat Disha. The Niryat
Protsahan scheme aims to strengthen India’s trade finance ecosystem and
bridge MSME trade finance gap through timely, affordable and diversified
trade financing options. Niryat Disha aims at expanding India’s export
capacity by addressing non-tariff barriers to trade, building export
capabilities and positioning Indian goods and services in key global markets.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), through its Missions and Posts
abroad supports Indian exporters, working in close coordination with
Department of Commerce (DoC). Regular Workshops and capacity building
activities are being undertaken together with relevant Industry Associations

actively supporting export of products of rural artisans under the One
