MANNA LAL RAWAT: Will the Minister of MINES be pleased to state: (a) whether it is true that point 4(1) of the revised guidelines of the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) January 2024 provides for the appointment of the concerned Lok Sabha MP as the Chairman of the Governing Council and Management Committee of the district; (b) if so, the current status and likely timeframe for implementing the said arrangement; and (c) if not, the reasons therefor and whether the Government is considering amendments in this regard in the future? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF COAL AND MINES (SHRI G. KISHAN REDDY) (a) and (b) No. However, the PMKKKY Guidelines, 2024 provide for Hon’ble MPs to be members of the Governing Council of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF).
