Priyanka Chaturvedi: Will the Minister of Rural Development be pleased to state: (a) whether Government is aware that a large number of data annotators supporting global AI systems are rural women, including Adivasi and Dalit women, engaged in reviewing disturbing content; (b) whether low monthly earnings, task-based pay and lack of job security amount to precarious employment; (c) measures to recognise data annotation as skilled work with fair wages, social security and mental health support; (d) whether rural communities were consulted before promoting AI data centres in tribal regions; and (e) safeguards to prevent exploitation of vulnerable rural labour by technology firms?
