GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2219 ANSWERED ON 31.07.2026 SAKHI ONE STOP CENTRES IN ANDHRA PRADESH 2219. SHRI BASTIPATI NAGARAJU: Will the Minister of WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) the details of beneficiaries assisted under One Stop Centres (OSCs), along with the category of services availed in Andhra Pradesh during the last five years, year-wise and centre-wise; (b) the details of vacancies in the posts of Social Counsellors, Case Workers, and Legal Aid Personnel in the OSCs in the said State, district-wise; (c) the details of the funds allocated/utilised under the said scheme in the said State during the last five years, year-wise; and (d) the number of cases referred from OSCs to the police, hospitals, legal services authorities and shelter homes in Andhra Pradesh during the last five years, along with the outcome of such referrals, year-wise and district-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT (SHRIMATI SAVITRI THAKUR) (a) to (b): One Stop Centre (OSC) Scheme for women is being implemented since 1st April 2015. It provides integrated services like medical aid, legal aid and advice, temporary shelter, police assistance and psycho-social counselling to needy women under one roof to women affected by violence and those in distress, both in private and public spaces all across the country. As on date, 988 One Stop Centres have been made operational across the country, which have assisted over 15.20 lakh women in the country, including in the State of Andhra Pradesh. As on date, 36 OSCs are operational in Andhra Pradesh. During the last five years, i.e. from 2021-22 to 2025-26, the number of women assisted through OSCs in the State of Andhra Pradesh is as under:Year 2021-22 2022-23 2023-24 2024-25 2025-26 No of women assisted 4049 4356 2993 3134 4911 The Central Government provides 100% financial assistance to States/ UTs for appointment/hiring 13 manpower resources including 1 Centre Administrator, 2 Case Workers, 1 Psycho-social Counsellor, 1 Para Legal Personnel/ Lawyer, 1 Para Medical Personnel at each OSC. The overall implementation of the OSC scheme lies with the State Governments and UT Administrations.
