SHRI M K RAGHAVAN: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार् ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is aware of the delay in completing construction of the service road between Pantheerankavu Junction and Thondayad Junction on National Highway (NH)-66 Kozhikode bypass in Kerala; (b) if so, the reasons for the delay in construction and the time frame for its completion; (c) whether the Government is aware of any encroachment by private establishments on land acquired for NH-66 between Pantheerankavu Junction and Thondayad Junction; and (d) if so, whether such encroachments are the reason for the delay in the completion of the service road construction and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI)(a), (b) & (d) The work of service road has been taken up and is under progress/completed particularly between Thondayad to Pantheerankavu Junction except at 3 locations as given below due to delay in Land Acquisition. i) Ch. Km 249+00 to Ch. Km 249.300 (RHS) (Near Hilite residency) ii) Ch. Km 249+642 to Ch. Km 249+740 (LHS) (Opposite to Metro Hospital) iii) Ch. Km 251+560 to 251+740 (RHS) (Pantheerankavu). Service Road works at above said locations are targeted for completion by September, 2025 after resolving the land related issues. (c) Encroachments, if any, are being removed on regular basis under the provisions of Control of NH (Land & Traffic) Act. *****
