Will the MINISTEROFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleased tostate:
(a) the range of services including teleconsultation, being provided at operational Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) underthe Ayushman Bharat ProgrammeinKarnataka,district-wise;
(b) the detailsof funds allocated, releasedandutilised for AAMs inthe Stateduring the last three years;
(c) whether the Government proposes to strengthen AAMs in the State under the PM-Ayushman Bharat HealthInfrastructure Mission, if so, the details thereof,district-wise;
(d) whether the Government has undertaken any review of the operational status of AAMs in the States of Karnataka andHimachal Pradesh,if so, the detailsandthe outcome thereof; and
(e) whether anygaps relating to infrastructure, manpower or service delivery have been identified in the functioningof AAMs inthese States,if so, the correctivemeasures takenthereon? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFHEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE (SHRIJAGATPRAKASH NADDA)

(a) to (e) Public Health & hospitals fall under the State list and therefore, the primary responsibility of strengthening public healthcare system iswith the States/UnionTerritories. However,underthe National Health Mission (NHM), the Government of India supports all States/Union Territories. States/Union Territories submit their proposals through the annual Programme Implementation Plan (PIP), and based on the available resource envelope (RE), the Government of India grants approvals in the Record of Proceedings(RoPs) asperthe approved norms andguidelines.
As updated by the States/Union Territories on Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM) portal, as on
30.06.2026, a total of 1,86,298 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) have been established and operationalized in the country including 10,137 AAMs in Karnataka. The district-wise details of AAMs inKarnataka isat Annexure-I.
The Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) are required to deliver 12 packages of primary health care services across urban, rural, tribal dominated and aspirational district areas, encompassing Reproductive and Child Care Services, Communicable Diseases, Non Communicable Diseases, Palliative Care and Elderly Care, Care for Common Mental Disorders, Substance Use Disorders Management,Oral Health,ENT Care andBasic Emergency Care andTele-consultations.
As informed by State of Karnataka, the details of funds released andexpenditure under National HealthMission (NHM) for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) during the last three financialyears viz. from 2023-24 to2025-26 are asunder:

Further, Under CSS component of Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), Administrative approval has been accorded to the State of Karnataka for an amount of Rs. 1928.79 Cr. for construction of 530 Building less Sub-Health Centres- AAMs (SHC-AAMs), establishment and strengthening of 817 Urban-AAMs (U-AAMs), as proposed by the state. As per information provided by the State, the district-wise details of the sanctioned SHC-AAMs and U-AAMs are at Annexure-II.
