Setting up of JNVs in Rajasthan

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to set up new Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas
in the country;
(b) if so, the number of schools set up so far and the details of the guidelines in place
for the setting up of these schools;
(c) the details of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas set up in Rajasthan during the last
five years, district-wise;
(d) whether the Government is contemplating to set up a new Jawahar Navodaya
Vidyalaya in Dausa Lok Sabha Constituency; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the action taken in this regard so far?

(a) & (b): The Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme envisages for opening of one Navodaya
Vidyalaya (NV) in each district of the country. Opening of new NVs is a continuous
process which depends on the willingness of the concerned State Government/UT
administration to make available requisite suitable land, free of cost, for construction
of the permanent building and making available required temporary building, free of
rent, to run the Vidyalaya till the permanent building is constructed. Sanction and
opening of new NVs depends on approval by the competent authority as per extant
procedures. At present, 666 districts of the country have been covered under the
scheme and total 689 NVs have been sanctioned so far in the country including 23
additional NVs.
(c): As on date, 33 districts of Rajasthan have been covered under Navodaya
Vidyalaya Scheme and total 35 NVs are functional in the State, including additional
NV at Banswara District (ST Concentrated) and Sri Ganganagar District (SC
Concentrated). No new NV has been set up in Rajasthan State during the last five
years.
(d) & (e): The NVs are sanctioned district-wise, as per the Scheme. An NV is already
