Unstarred Question No. 116, answered on 01/12/2025 in Lok Sabha, concerns the setting up of PM Kaushal Kendras (PMKK) in Andhra Pradesh. Dr. C M Ramesh asked the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP if 23 PMKKs have been set up in Andhra Pradesh and if there is no PMKK in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. Further, the minister was asked if the Government proposes to set up a PM Kaushal Kendra in the said district to provide skills to unemployed youth to get employment, and if so, the details thereof.
The Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, answered: Yes, 23 PMKKs have been set up in Andhra Pradesh. All PMKKs allocated to Andhra Pradesh were sanctioned during the 2016-2018, prior to the formation of the new district Anakapalli. One PMKK had already been allocated and established in the Anakapalli Parliament Constituency under the erstwhile Visakhapatnam district jurisdiction. Currently, there is no proposal to set up PMKK in the Anakapalli district.

(a) whether it is a fact that 23 PM Kaushal Kendras (PMKK) have been setup in
Andhra Pradesh;
(b) whether it is a fact that there is no PMKK in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh;
