SANGEETA YADAV: Will the Minister of Cooperation be pleased to state: (a) the current authorised share capital of Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited; (b) whether the Society can increase the authorised share capital over time; (c) if so, the procedures and conditions to be followed for this; and (d) the details of the steps taken so far regarding the increase in authorized share capital by the committee? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF COOPERATION (SHRI AMIT SHAH) (a): The authorized share capital of Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) is ₹500 crore. (b) to (c): Yes, Sir, the Society can increase its authorised share capital in accordance with clause 18 (2) of its bye-laws. As per clause18 (2), the society at its general meeting, may, from time to time, increase the authorized share capital by creation of new shares of such number and amount as may be deemed expedient with the prior approval of the Central Registrar. (d): No proposal for increasing the authorized share capital has been initiated so far. ******
