Shri Niranjan Bishi: Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state: (a) whether the Ministry enhance the allocation to the State of Odisha under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment(SACI) in the upcoming Union Budget; and (b) if so, the details thereof, if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FINANCE (SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY) (a) & (b): Yes. In the budget for the year 2026-27 presented on 1st February, 2026, outlay for scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) has been enhanced from Rs 1,50,000 crores (in FY 2025-26) to Rs 2,00,000 crores. A large part of allocation under SASCI is distributed among States based on the formula for devolution of central taxes and duties to States as recommended by the Finance Commission. ***
