SHRI NEERAJ SHEKHAR Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be pleased to state: (a) the details of e-waste generated during 2024-25 and 2025-26, so far, in the country, State-wise and year-wise; (b) whether Government has assessed the increase in e-waste generation year by year; and (c) if so, the details thereof, State-wise and year-wise? ANSWER MINISTER FOR ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SHRI BHUPENDER YADAV) (a) to (c) A statement is laid on the Table of the House. *****STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (c) OF THE RAJYA SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 140 TO BE ANSWERED ON THURSDAY, THE 12TH FEBRUARY, 2026 ON “STATUS OF E-WASTE” RAISED BY SHRI NEERAJ SHEKHAR. (a) to (c) The e-waste generation in the country has been assessed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) at national level based on the countrywide sales data of 106 electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) as notified in Schedule-I of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, provided by the registered producers on the E-Waste Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal, and average life of notified EEE, as mandated under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. As per the CPCB, the details of the E-Waste generation in the country during 2024-25 and 2025-26 so far, and increase in e-waste generation year by year is given below: S.
