SHRI PRADEEP PUROHIT: Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has implemented the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) for the socio-economic development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and if so, the objectives, eligibility criteria and major components thereof; (b) the details of PVTG habitations in the State of Odisha, along with the number of eligible and covered beneficiaries under PM-JANMAN, district-wise and block-wise; (c) the details of funds allocated, released and utilised under PM-JANMAN in Odisha since the launch of the Scheme along with the details of Central assistance provided to the State, district wise; (d) the details of physical achievements under the Scheme in Odisha, including houses, roads, drinking water facilities, mobile connectivity, hostels and other infrastructure created for PVTGs, district-wise; and (e) whether the Government proposes to expand coverage to all eligible PVTG habitations in the State and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR TRIBAL AFFAIRS (SHRI DURGADAS UIKEY) (a), (b) & (e): Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha AbhiyaN (PM JANMAN) was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister on 15th November, 2023 for the socio-economic development of the 75 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) communities residing in 18 States and one Union Territory. The mission aims to provide basic facilities to improve their socio- economic conditions such as safe housing, clean drinking water and improved access to education, health and nutrition, road and telecom connectivity, electrification of unelectrified households and sustainable livelihood opportunities. These objectives are being met through 11 interventions implemented by 9-line Ministries. Ministry of Tribal Affairs through the State Governments/ UT Administration/departments has undertaken habitation level data collection exercise through PM Gati Shakti mobile application to estimate PVTG population figures and infrastructure gaps in order to cover PVTG population residing in villages & habitations covered under PM JANMAN.
