Parliament Question: Status of PM-UDAY in North East Delhi

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 731 TO BE ANSWERED ON JULY 23, 2026 STATUS OF PM-UDAY IN NORTH EAST DELHI NO. 731 SHRI MANOJ TIWARI: Will the Minster of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the number of properties in North East Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency that have been granted ownership rights under the Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) so far, Assembly Constituency-wise, (b) the funds sanctioned and utilised by the Government for the development of roads, drains, sewerage, drinking water supply, parks, community facilities and other basic urban infrastructure in Sonia Vihar, Burari, Karawal Nagar, Ghonda, Mustafabad and other unauthorised colonies in North East Delhi along with the details of projects currently under implementation; (c) whether the Government proposes any special urban development or infrastructure package for North East Delhi in view of its high population density and rapid urbanisation and if so, the details thereof; and (d) whether North East Delhi is proposed to be accorded priority under redevelopment and urban rejuvenation projects in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and if so, the details thereof ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): The matter related to the conferment of ownership rights to the residents of unauthorized colonies which was earlier being undertaken by DDA under the PM-UDAY Scheme, has been transferred to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD). As per the information received from GNCTD, as on date 4547 properties in North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency have been granted ownership rights under PM-UDAY so far. …2/--2- (b) to (d): Urban Development is a State subject, therefore special urban development or infrastructure package for North East (NE) Delhi lies within the purview of the concerned State Government (s). As per information received from Delhi Government, the details of fund allocated to the executing agencies Viz Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) and Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC) in NE Delhi, AC wise is under: 1.
