ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (c): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since 25.06.2015 to provide all weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to eligible urban beneficiaries across the country. Based on the learnings from the experiences of implementation of PMAY-U, MoHUA has revamped the scheme and launched PMAY-U 2.0 ‘Housing for All’ Mission with effect from 01.09.2024 for implementation in urban areas across the country to support 1 crore additional eligible beneficiaries. PMAY-U 2.0 is implemented through four verticals i.e., Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS). The Scheme Guidelines may be accessed at https://pmay- urban.gov.in/uploads/guidelines/Operational-Guidelines-of-PMAY-U- 2.pdf. …2/--2- Based on the project proposal submitted by States/UTs, a total of 128 lakh houses have been sanctioned, out of which 99 lakh have been completed and 97 lakh have been occupied under PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0. State/UT wise details of houses sanctioned, completed and occupied under PMAY-U is at Annexure. The progress of the scheme can also be accessed on the PMAY-U dashboard (https://dashboard.pmay- urban.gov.in). PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0 are demand driven schemes. As per the guidelines, States/UTs are responsible for identifying beneficiaries, planning and executing projects including allotment of completed houses to the eligible beneficiaries are done by States/UTs. The timeline for completion of houses/projects varies from State to State and it generally takes 12-36 months in different verticals of the scheme and as per Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of respective projects. The completion timeline for houses depends on various factors like availability of encumbrance free land, statutory compliances for start of construction, arrangement of funds by beneficiaries etc. The Ministry conducts regular reviews with the States/UTs to monitor progress of implementation of the scheme and expedite completion of sanctioned houses within the stipulated timeline. - *****Annexure referred in reply to Lok Sabha Unstarred Q.No.830 due for 23-07-2026 State/UTs wise details of Physical progress under PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0 Name of the Completed/ Sr.No. Sanctiond Occupied State/UT Delivered 1 Andhra Pradesh 19,67,971 11,38,126 10,74,908 2 Bihar 4,66,855 2,02,188 2,02,122 3 Chhattisgarh 3,46,253 2,68,384 2,56,196 4 Goa 3,180 3,180 3,176 5 Gujarat 11,35,670 9,93,987 9,52,611 6 Haryana 1,36,108 74,658 74,343 7 Himachal Pradesh 14,034 12,142 12,120 8 Jharkhand 2,43,343 1,70,450 1,67,459 9 Karnataka 5,78,080 4,06,720 3,61,166 10 Kerala 1,62,251 1,43,267 1,43,118 11 Madhya Pradesh 10,39,941 9,10,322 8,97,668 12 Maharashtra 13,84,240 10,74,552 10,16,139 13 Odisha 2,37,116 1,74,404 1,70,097 14 Punjab 1,58,768 1,05,497 1,04,669 15 Rajasthan 3,80,646 2,76,804 2,69,063 16 Tamil Nadu 6,85,715 6,32,085 5,89,061 17 Telangana 3,89,372 2,29,673 1,89,795 18 Uttar Pradesh 21,60,179 17,25,799 16,90,850 19 Uttarakhand 67,089 56,244 44,909 20 West Bengal 6,27,055 5,38,363 5,36,793 21 Arunachal Pradesh 14,287 9,495 8,279 22 Assam 2,21,943 1,48,507 1,48,505 23 Manipur 56,047 24,046 24,046 24 Meghalaya 8,692 3,138 3,138 25 Mizoram 40,704 34,262 34,261 26 Nagaland 37,223 30,228 30,196 27 Sikkim 301 220 220 28 Tripura 92,213 82,942 82,942 29 A&N Island 261 234 48 30 Chandigarh 1,286 1,286 1,283 31 DNH&DD 10,712 10,454 10,191 32 Delhi 33,625 33,625 32,953 33 J&K 45,982 35,961 35,962 34 Ladakh 1,138 1,009 1,009 35 Puducherry 19,752 12,923 12,917 Grand Total 128 Lakh 99 Lakh* 97 Lakh* *Includes completed (3.42 lakh), occupied (4.91 lakh)/ grounded (4.01 lakh) houses of JnNURM during mission period. ******
