ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING & URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a): There is no delay in the release of payments in general to the agencies involved in the execution of CPWD projects. However, due to some unforeseen reasons such as incomplete/non-submission of bills by the agencies, delay in release of payments to them, takes place. Every effort is made by the CPWD to assist the agencies in making up the deficiency in their bills to CPWD in order to get released their payments. (b): Every project of CPWD has the elements of completion of work in a definitive time-frame, and CPWD keeps a strict monitoring over it so as to ensure that the work is completed within the set time-limit. *****
