Will the Minister of STEEL be pleased to state:
(a) the present status of projects undertaken under the Steel Research and
Technology Mission of India (SRTMI);
(b) the details of technologies developed and commercialised under the Mission during
the last three years;
(c) the amount of funds allocated and utilised thereunder; and
(d) the benefits accrued to the domestic steel industry from the Mission?

MINISTRY OF STEEL
(a)to(d): Steel Research & Technology Mission of India (SRTMI) is a steel industry
driven initiative, registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, for
undertaking collaborative research amongst industry, national R&D laboratories and
academic institutions. 16 projects have been undertaken by SRTMI in last 3 years in
the areas of ore beneficiation, operational excellence, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Waste
Utilization, and Carbon Capture Utilization & Sequestration (CCUS), for which Rs.19
crore has been allocated.
