STOPPAGE FOR SWARNA SHATABDI EXPRESS AND VANDE BHARAT
EXPRESS AT HATHRAS

Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that the Swarna Shatabdi Express
and the Vande Bharat Express operating on the Delhi-Lucknow route
have a halt at Aligarh but do not have a scheduled stoppage at Hathras
junction and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government is aware that thousands of passengers,
students, traders and common man from Hathras district have to
commute regularly to Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi
for various purposes;
(c) if so, whether the Government is considering to provide stoppage of the
Swarna Shatabdi Express and the Vande Bharat Express at Hathras
Junction in the public interest and for the convenience of passengers
with better rail connectivity in Hathras and the adjoining areas to
Lucknow and Delhi; and
(d) if so, the details of the action taken in this regard including proposed
timeline?

(a) to (d) To facilitate the passengers of Hathras station, stoppage of
18101/18102 Tatanagar - Jammu Tawi Express has been provided at
Hathras junction w.e.f 07.09.2025. Accordingly, Hathras Junction station is
presently being served by following 36 train services catering to the needs
of the passengers of the station.

Besides, on Indian Railways, provision of stoppages of train services
depend on traffic justification, operational feasibility including availability
of extra time on the section & availability of matching infrastructure such
as Platform length etc.
