Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) the number of students benefited by the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Andhra
Pradesh during the last three years and the current year;
(b) the number of smart classrooms and Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) labs established under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Andhra Pradesh;
(c) the total funds allocated and utilsed for the same in the last three years and the
current year, district-wise; and
(d) the steps taken to train teachers on effectively using the smart classrooms and ICT
labs including the number of trainings conducted?

(a): Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Samagra Shiksha’, financial assistance
is provided to State / UTs to ensure that all children have access to quality education.
As per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, number
of students in Andhra Pradesh benefited through Samagra Shiskha during the last
three years and the current year are as under: -

(d): As per information received from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh,
Teachers were trained to use smart classrooms and ICT labs effectively. Training
included both in-person and online sessions. A strong focus was placed on hands-on
practice with digital tools like interactive panels and learning apps. Personalised
Adaptive Learning (PAL) programme, was implemented in 1,224 schools. Orientation
sessions were conducted for Headmasters and Teachers to ensure effective
implementation of the programme. As part of the Smart Virtual Classroom initiative,
training was conducted across the state at both District and Mandal levels. This
significantly enhanced teachers’ digital teaching skills. Details of training programme
conducted during last three years are given in Annexure-II.
