SHRI DEVESH SHAKYA: Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) the details of the subsidy provided to the e-vehicles manufacturers under the phase-I and phase-II of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles (FAME) scheme, year-wise and category-wise; (b) the names of companies provided subsidy for manufacturing of e-vehicles including the details of the subsidy amount provided; (c) the number of existing e-charging stations in Etawah, Kasganj and Etah districts of Uttar Pradesh; (d) whether the Government has any plans to increase the number of e-charging stations in these districts under the FAME scheme; (e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and (f) the total number of e-vehicles purchased since the year 2023 till now and State-wise and year- wise, and the number of e-vehicles registered in Etawah, Kasganj and Etah districts along with the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA) (a) & (b): Under the FAME Scheme, subsidy is not provided to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Subsidies are provided to buyers (consumers /end users) of electric vehicles in the form of an upfront reduction in the purchase price of EVs under the scheme. This incentive or concession is then reimbursed to the OEMs by MHI.
