(a) the present status of Swachh Bharat Mission - Grameen (SBM-G) being implemented in

(b) whether the Government has succeeded in achieving its goal of making every village

(a) Phase II of Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) [SBM(G)] is being implemented during the
period from 2020-21 to 2025-26, with the focus on Open Defecation Free (ODF) sustainability
and to cover all the villages with solid and liquid waste management i.e. converting the villages
from ODF to ODF Plus (Model). Out of the total number of 96,174 villages in Uttar Pradesh,
93484 villages have been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus (Model) upto 04.08.2025
as per Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) of Swachh Bharat Mission
(Grameen)[SBM-G].
(b) to (d) Yes, Sir. Government of Uttar Pradesh has succeeded in achieving its goal of making
every village including the villages of Mau district Open Defecation Free. According to the
base line survey done in the year 2012, the State had a target to construct about 2.76 Crore of
individual house hold latrines to make all villages of the State Open Defecation Free including
the villages of district Mau. By 2nd October 2018, State has achieved 100 percent of its target
and declared itself Open Defecation Free.
