SHRI ATUL GARG: Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has extended targeted technological and financial support to the heavy engineering units operating in the Ghaziabad Constituency; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government has facilitated the up-skilling of the local industrial workforce to handle automated manufacturing processes and advanced robotics; (d) the specific measures taken to protect these local machinery manufacturers from the dumping of cheap, sub-standard industrial imports; and (e) the future initiatives planned to establish a dedicated industrial technology park in the region to foster innovation and support the holistic growth of the regional heavy manufacturing sector? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA) (a) to (e): Ministry of Heavy Industries has notified the Scheme for Enhancement of Competitiveness in the Indian Capital Goods Sector. Under the Scheme, project named Robotic Laser Cladding Technology for Hydro Power Industry by Industrial Processors & Metallizers Pvt. Ltd at Ghaziabad has been sanctioned with budgetary support of Rs. 1.24 crore and total project cost of Rs. 4.97 crore. Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under its Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 has trained/oriented 312 candidates in Industrial Automation PMKVY 4.0 in Ghaziabad as of 30.06.2026. ******
