Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state:
(a) the total funds allocated under the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme to different States since its inception, State and year-wise;
(b) the number of proposals received and approved from Andhra Pradesh under the said scheme along with the details of the amount sanctioned and released for the approved projects;
(c) whether any proposals have been received from private universities in Andhra Pradesh under the TTDF scheme; and
(d) if so, the details thereof including the names of universities, nature of projects and funding approved? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. PEMMASANI CHANDRA SEKHAR)
(a) Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme was launched on 1st October, 2022.
The scheme aims to fund Research & Development (R&D) and innovation in telecom technologies to start-ups, MSMEs, research institutes, and industry to enhance the telecom ecosystem in India.
Under TTDF scheme fund is not allocated to the state government.
(b) to (d) As on 10.12.2025 two proposals of government institutes of Andhra Pradesh have been approved with sanction amount of ₹ 206 Lakhs, out of which ₹ 17.25 Lakhs have been released. ***** 1
