Will the Minister of CORPORATE AFFAIRS
be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government, through statutory filings and databases maintained under the Companies Act, tracks trends in investments and capital formation in the Information Technology (IT) and IT-enabled services sector during recent years and if so, the broad year-wise trends observed during the last five financial years;
(b) whether similar tracking of incorporations, capital raising and investment activity is available for companies engaged in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem, including fabrication, ATMP/OSAT (Assembly, Testing, Marking and Packaging/Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) design and packaging; and

(a)(b)&(c) The Ministry does not track the trend of investment and capital formation made by companies under the Companies Act, 2013. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has been operating end-to-end e-Governance MCA-21 Project for registry and company incorporation related services. The stakeholders file the e-forms, statutory annual returns including financial statements on the MCA21 portal under various provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and rules made thereunder. During the last five years, the number of companies incorporated in Information Technology, IT-enabled sector and companies engaged in the manufacturing of Semi-conductor and electrical sector are at Annexure.
