In response to Unstarred Question No. 1806 by Shri Arun Govil, the Minister of Railways addresses the possibility of operating an Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train from Delhi to Brijghat. Garmukteshwar station, serving Brijghat passengers, is currently served by 12 Mail/Express and 6 Passenger train services, including the 54307/54308 Moradabad - Delhi Passenger and 54075/54076 Bareilly - Delhi Passenger train services. These cater to passengers on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Pilkhua-Hapur-Garmukteshwar sector. Additionally, 5 pairs of Mail/Express services also serve the section. The introduction of new train services, including Passenger trains, depends on factors such as section capacity, path availability, rolling stock availability, matching infrastructure for rolling stock, and railway track/asset maintenance requirements.
