Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to increase rail connectivity to Khatu
Shyam ji Temple, Ringas for pilgrims visiting from Delhi, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether it is a fact that people are forced to travel on steps and doors of
trains' coaches as there are three daily trains available for Ringas from Delhi
and these are fully reserved/occupied in advance;
(c) whether a train route from Alwar via Nuh-Ferozpur Jhirka which was
approved into the budget of 2013-14 has not been started so far;
(d) if so, the time by when this route is likely to be functional; and
(e) whether the Government proposes to launch a new train route between Kota-
Jaipur via Rewari-Narnaul-Ringas route benefitting pilgrims of Khatu Shyam ji, if
so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e) To provide direct connectivity to Khatu Shayam Ji, Ringas-
Khatu Shyam Ji (17 km) new line project has been sanctioned at a cost of
Rs. 254 crore. An outlay of Rs. 43 crore has been allocated for the year of
2025-26. Land acquisition has been taken up.
Ringas, which serves as the rail head for Khatu Shyam Ji temple, is
presently connected to Delhi by 08 pairs of Mail/Express train services. Of
these, 03 pairs of services are operating as daily services.
On Indian Railways, demand pattern of reserved accommodation is not
uniform throughout the year and it varies over lean and peak periods.
Moreover, trains running on popular and convenient timings with lesserstoppage and running time are generally well patronized. However, in
other trains accommodation is generally available.
During the period of 2024-25 and 2025-26(Upto June-2025) a total of 4.98
lakh & 1.25 lakh reserved passengers respectively have travelled
between Ringas and Delhi Area. Moreover, during the period of 2024-25
and 2025-26(Upto Jun-2025) overall average occupancy of trains running
between Ringas and Delhi Area has been more than 100%.
The new railway line project from Delhi to Alwar via Sohana, Nuh, Firzpur,
Jhirka (104.11 Km) was included in the Budget subject to requisite
approvals. Accordingly, a survey was conducted and Detailed Project
Report(DPR) was made. Due to low traffic projections, the project could
not be taken forward. Moreover, Delhi to Alwar is already connected via
Rewari.
Presently, 29 pairs of train services connect Kota to Jaipur. Kota is also
connected to Ringas by 03 Pairs of regular train services. Further, 03
pairs of special trains are also being operated which cater to the needs of
the Kota-Jaipur-Ringas sector.
Besides, introduction of new train services is an ongoing process on
Indian Railways subject to traffic justification, operational feasibility,
resource availability, etc.
