Parliament Question: Trauma Centre in Uttar Pradesh

Willthe Ministerof HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate:

(a) whether it is a fact that there is no trauma centre in Ballia and Bijnor Lok Sabha Constituenciesof Uttar Pradesh andif so, the detailsthereof;

(b) whether the Government proposes to identify and establish trauma centres in those districts where there isnotrauma centre andif so, the detailsthereof; and

(c) the time by which a Trauma Centre is likely to be established in Ballia and Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV)

(a) to (c): During 11th Five Year Plan (2007-2012) and 12th Five Year Plan (2012-2017) under the “National Programme for Prevention & Management of Trauma and Burn Injuries” (NPPMT&BI), total 196 Trauma Care Facilities (TCFs) were sanctioned in Government Hospitals/ Medical Colleges across the country. Out of 196, 13 TCFs have been sanctioned in

Uttar Pradeshat:

1) BRDMedical College,Gorakhpur

2) District Hospital, Faizabad

3) KGMCollege, Lucknow

4) LLRHospital & GSVMCollege,Kanpur

5) District Hospital, Jaluan, Orai

6) MLB Medical College,Jhansi7) District Hospital, Basti

8) SNMedical College,Agra

9) ShriBADistrict Hospital, Etawah

10) District Hospital, Fatehpur

11)MLN Medical College, Allahabad

12) LLRMMedical College,Meerut

13) District Hospital, Lalitpur Beyond 12th Five Year Plan, there isno provision of identification of new trauma care facilities underthis Scheme. The financial support is interms of release of the balance share of Central assistance within the totalapprovedcost of the approvedfacilities/ units.
