In response to Unstarred Question No. 2031 in Lok Sabha answered on December 11, 2025, by the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, the status of road connectivity projects announced in the Union Budget 2025-26 is as follows:
* **Patna - Purnia Expressway:** The Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been awarded and the alignment has been finalized.
* **Buxar - Bhagalpur Expressway:** Bids for engagement of a consultant for preparation of upgradation of existing Highway/Greenfield for the proposed Expressway have been invited.
* **Bodhgaya - Rajgir:** The Bodhgaya to Gaya (old NH-83) and Gaya – Hisua - Rajgir, NH-120 sections are being widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. Additionally, work for preparation of DPR to explore connectivity by way of additional spurs to Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Vaishali and Darbhanga is awarded.
* **Vaishali - Darbhanga:** The ongoing 4-laning project between Bakarpur Manikpur provides connectivity to Vaishali.
* **Additional 2-Lane Bridge over Ganga at Buxar:** The project for an additional 3-lane bridge over the Ganga at Buxar on NH-922 was sanctioned, and construction commenced on August 20, 2025, with a scheduled construction period of 2.5 years.

The present status of the projects is as under:
(i) Patna - Purnia Expressway: The Detailed Project Report (DPR)
has been awarded and alignment has been finalised.
(ii) Buxar - Bhagalpur Expressway: Bids for engagement of
