SMT.ANITA NAGARSINGH CHOUHAN: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहनऔि िाजमार् ग मंत्री be pleased to state: a. whether it is a fact that the approved two-lane road project from Ambua village in Alirajpur district via Chandra Shekhar Azad Nagar up to the border of Gujarat falling under Parliamentary Constituency No. 24 (Ratlam–Jhabua–Alirajpur) is in a very dilapidated condition and if so, the details thereof; b. whether the Government is aware that, despite approval, the work on the said road project has not yet been commenced, causing serious difficulties to residents, traders and tribal-dominated rural areas in terms of transportation, education, health and trade; and c. if so, the details thereof along with the concrete steps taken/being taken by the Government to ensure that the said project is started and completed at the earliest? ANITA NAGARSINGH CHOUHAN REGARDING TWO LANE ROAD PROJECT IN ALIRAJPUR. (a) to (c) The Stretch of National Highway 56 from Ambua to Madhya Pradesh/Gujarat border of about 28 km length, passing through Alirajpur District has been maintained in traffic worthy condition by engaging maintenance agency. A maintenance estimate amounting to Rs. 3.86 crore was sanctioned and maintenance work started from 20.09.2025. For the development of this stretch to two lane with paved shoulder, work has already been sanctioned and Letter of Award (LOA) has also been issued on 23.01.2026. The project is scheduled for completion within 18 months from the date of start of project. The project is being monitored to ensure completion of land acquisition processes & issue of appointed date and thereafter, at the construction stage. During Construction, the Contractor maintains the road in traffic worthy condition as per contract provisions. *****
