On December 11, 2025, Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri asked the Minister of Road Transport and Highways about the construction of a five km long underground tunnel road between Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur and Vasant Kunj in Delhi, including when work would commence, the total amount to be spent, the completion time, and the extent of traffic jam relief. The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, responded that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared for the construction of the tunnel connecting Shiv Murti (Mahipalpur) to Nelson Mandela Marg in Delhi to de-congest Delhi, especially the Dhaula Kuan-Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport-Gurugram section of NH-48. Decisions of investment and implementation will be taken based on the outcome of DPR, fulfillment of the criteria, traffic density and synergy with PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
