Parliament Question: Upgradation of National Highway-65

SHRI KESINENI SIVANATH: Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is expanding/upgrading National Highway (NH)- 65 connecting Pune to Machilipatnam; (b) if so, the places where six-laning of the highway has been undertaken along with the physical progress of such projects; (c) the details of funds released for the project and the timeline fixed for its completion; (d) whether the Government proposes to make any changes in the proposals for the expansion of NH-65; and (e) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? (a) to (e) Development of National Highways (NHs) in the country is a continuous process and the Government keeps on undertaking Detailed Project Report (DPR)/Feasibility Study to improve/widen /construct National Highway/Expressway to improve the connectivity and integration with the grid of National Highways/ Expressways as also to provide last-mile connectivity. Decision for project implementation and investment is taken based on the outcome of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), requirement of connectivity, traffic density and synergy with PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
