**Summary:**
This document summarizes the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs' (MoHUA) response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 4634, concerning the upgradation/renovation of Central Public Works Department (CPWD) quarters.
**Upgradation/Renovation Policy:** Upgradation/renovation work is carried out in General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) quarters as requested by occupants, according to the Housing Upgradation Scheme, 2018 (HUS2018). However, GPRA quarters over 60 years old are excluded from upgradation works as per MoHUA Office Memorandum No. 1825/2015/W/DIG dated 08.03.2018. These older quarters receive only minimum maintenance and need-based repairs.
**Lodhi Colony Type-III Quarters:** No upgradation/renovation work has been performed on Type-III quarters in Lodhi Colony during 2023-24 and 2024-25 because these quarters are over 60 years old and outside the scope of HUS2018 per the 08.03.2018 memorandum. Consequently, no expenditure was incurred for such work.
**Inspection and Satisfaction:** Maintenance and repair work in Lodhi Colony Type-III quarters are regularly supervised and inspected by Junior Engineers, with frequent inspections by Assistant Engineers and occasional inspections by Executive Engineers from CPWD. The average satisfaction level for upgradation/renovation work carried out in these quarters is reported as 99.7%.
