BHOLA SINGH: Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) the achievements of schemes such as Stand-Up India, PM-DAKSH, and Pre-Matric/Post Matric scholarships for SC/ST beneficiaries during the last eleven years; (b) the number of beneficiaries under these schemes in Bulandshahr; (c) the details of the funds allocated and utilised under these schemes during the said period; (d) whether the Government has undertaken any evaluation of the impact on economic and educational upliftment, if so the details thereof; and (e) the details of the future plans for better targeting and inclusion of eligible SC/ST households - in rural areas? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (SHRI RAMDAS ATHAWALE) (a) to (c):The achievements of schemes such as Stand-Up India, PM-DAKSH and Pre- Matric/Post-Matric scholarships for SC/ST beneficiaries during the last eleven years including the details of funds allocated and utilized under these schemes during the said period is at Annexure-I. The number of beneficiaries under these schemes in Bulandshahr is at Annexure-II. (d):Based on the extensive discussions and deliberations with the concerned stakeholders, the Pre-Matric scholarship scheme for SCs was revised on 14.03.2022 and the Post-Matric Scholarship for SC students was revised on 30.03.2021. Further, Pre-Matric/Post-Matric scholarships for ST students were evaluated by Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) during 2019-20 as well as by NITI Aayog through KPMG. Both reports have highlighted the need to continue these schemes for educational upliftment of ST students.
