RAJKUMAR SANGWAN: Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has launched any special schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of scheduled castes, backward classes and disabled persons in Uttar Pradesh including Baghpat Lok Sabha Constituency, if so, the district-wise major achievements including Baghpat Lok Sabha Constituency; (b) whether the Government has implemented any scheme for assistive devices prosthesis and skill development training for disabled persons in Baghpat Lok Sabha Constituency, if so, the details thereof; and (c) the number of beneficiaries benefited from the above programmes during the last five years? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT (SHRI B.L.VERMA) (a) to (c): The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) implements various schemes/programmes for the socio-economic upliftment of scheduled castes, backward classes and disabled persons across the country including State of Uttar Pradesh and Baghpat Lok Sabha Constituency. The details of Schemes, persons benefited and the expenditure during the last five years is at Annexure. For a number of these Schemes District wise data is not maintained. Further, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) under MoSJE has been implementing the schemes of ‘Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP Scheme)’ for assistive devices prosthesis and National Action Plan for Skill Development of Persons with Disabilities (NAP-SDP) for skill development training for disabled persons.
