SHRI NARESH CHANDRA UTTAM PATEL: Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has conducted a social audit of the funds utilised for tree plantation and environmental protection schemes in Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh; and; (b) if so, the details thereof along with the actual survival rate of the plants? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SHRI KIRTI VARDHAN SINGH) (a) to (b) Tree plantation and environmental protection activities are implemented by the States/Union Territories under various schemes/programmes, with monitoring and evaluation carried out as per the respective scheme guidelines and the established administrative mechanism. As reported by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh, no social audit has been conducted in respect of the funds utilised for tree plantation and environmental protection schemes in Fatehpur district. *****
