Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILYWELFARE be pleasedtostate:
(a) the detailsof sanctioned postsof faculty ineachAIIMS of the country, AIIMS-wise;
(b) whether it isa fact that 1of every3facultypositions are lyingvacantinall AIIMS;
(c) if so, the reasons thereforandefforts beingmade tofill inthe faculty positions;
(d) the detailsof non-faculty postssanctioned ineachAIIMS of the country, AIIMS-wise;
(e) the numberof facultypositions lying vacantineachAIIMS, category-wise; and
(f) what the Standing Selection Committee of each AIIMS are doing to recruit faculty andnon-facultypositions? ANSWER THE MINISTER OFSTATE IN THE MINISTRYOFHEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (SHRIPRATAPRAO JADHAV)
(a)to(f): The details of sanctioned, filled and vacant faculty and non-faculty posts in variousoperationalAll India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS), are at Annexure.
Creation of posts & recruitment is a continuous process. In order to expeditiously fill vacant sanctionedpositions invariousAIIMS, following steps have beentaken:
(i) Standing Selection Committee has been constituted in each Institute as per the provision of theirrespective Act for selectionof facultyetc.
(ii) Provision has been made for engagement of retired faculty at the level of Professor, Additional Professor and Associate Professor, on contract basis, in new AIIMS, up to the age of 70 years from Institutes of National Importance (INIs) and Government Medical Colleges
(GMCs).
(iii) Visiting Faculty Scheme has been formulated to allow Professors, Additional Professors and Associate Professors, who are holding academic positions in GovernmentInstitutions within India or academic institutions outside India, to be the Visiting Faculty in newAIIMS for teachingpurposes.
(iv) Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET) is conducted by AIIMS Delhi for recruitmentof Nursing Officers for variousAIIMS.
(v) Common Recruitment Examination (CRE) is conducted by AIIMS Delhi for recruitmenttoGroup B andC non-faculty positions invariousAIIMS.
(vi) The Institute of National Importance CombinedEntranceTest (INI-CET) for selection of Junior Residents (Academic) and the Institute of National Importance Super Speciality (INI-SS) Exam for selection of Senior Residents (Academic) for various AIIMS are conductedbyAIIMS Delhi twice a year.
