(a) to (c): Occurrence and filling of vacancies is a continuous process. As and when
vacancies arise, they are filled up by direct recruitment through agencies such as
UPSC, SSC, Banking Recruitment Boards, etc., or through deputation or promotions.
The reservation policy of the Government for SC/ST/OBC Categories is followed in the
recruitments and promotions in the Ministry of Finance. Keeping in view the
administrative exigency of work, efficiency, economy of operations and unavoidable
circumstances, the contractual engagements are made after completing all necessary
procedural formalities.
