(a) & (b) Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has two Departnents, namely,
Deparhnent of Social Justice and Empowerment and Department of Empowerment of
Persons with Disabilities. The details of the number of sanctioned posts, in position
and number of vacancies ofboth the Departnents are at Annexure-I.
With regard to reserved posts, it is informed that both Departnents do not directly recruit
personnel, except for Drivers, Dispatch Riders and Canteen Staffs in Group 'C' category.
Officers/officials from various services and cadres (viz. All India Services, Cental Services,
Indian Economic Services, Indian Statistical Services, Central Secretariat Services, Central
(
Secretariat Stanographers Services, Central Secretariat Clerical Services) and Offtcial
Language etc) are posted to the Departrnents by their respective cadre-controlling authorities,
who maintain their reservation rosteni in accordance with the Govemment of India's
reservation policy.
With respect to Drivers, Dispatch Rider, and Canteen Staff, etc., the details are attached at
Annexure-Il.
(c) Contractual employees are engaged based on the requirements prevailing at the time for a
limited period or for any specific job, and therefore, their number may vary from time to
time. As on date, the details of contractual employees ofvarious categories working in both
