(a) whether the Government is running any vaccination programme for dairy animals
in the country under the Livestock Health & Disease Control Programme
(LHDCP);
(b) whether the said vaccination is being administered to the dairy animals;
(c) whether the Government has set any target for completion of the said vaccination
programme; and
(d) the number of animals vaccinated so far under the said vaccination programme,

(a) and (b) Department provides 100 % support to States/UTs under Livestock Health
& Disease Control Programme (LHDCP) for vaccination of all Bovines for diseases
like Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). The vaccination of Brucellosis is administered
to all the female calves of Bovines which are 4 to 8 months old. Further, financial
assistance is also provided to the States/UTs on sharing basis in the ratio of 60:40,
in the ratio of 90:10 to NER & Hilly States and 100% to UTs for vaccination of
diseases like Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS), Black
Quarter (BQ) as per the prioritization by the respective States.(c) The vaccines are administered to Bovines as per the vaccination schedule like at the
interval of 180 days for FMD, one time for female Bovine calves (4-8 months of
age) and annually for diseases like LSD, HS, BQ to control and eventually eradicate
the diseases.
