SHRI PRABHAKAR REDDY VEMIREDDY: SHRI BALASHOWRY VALLABHANENI: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the date on which the projects to provide water supply in Kavali and Gudivada cities of Andhra Pradesh with an estimated cost of Rupees 43 Crores and 25.50 Crores respectively in Nellore and Krishna districts were proposed; (b) whether the said projects are still in progress and not yet completed and if so, the details thereof and the reasons for the delay along with the time by which each project is likely to be completed; and (c) whether there is any cost and time overrun of these projects and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (c): Under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in Andhra Pradesh, two water supply projects worth ₹56.11 crore have been approved on 27.02.2017 for Kavali city, and two water supply projects worth ₹41.4 crore have been approved for Gudivada city by the APEX Committee under the Mission. As reported by the Andhra Pradesh State, one project worth ₹13.13 crore in Kavali city and two projects worth ₹41.4 crore in Gudivada city have been completed. Other one project is at implementation stage. The State Government has also informed that the delay occurred mainly due to Covid pandemic, non-availability of raw materials/ labour.
