(a) whether the Union Govemment continues to earmark funds for the welfare of Scheduled
Castes under the Allocation for Welfare of Scheduled Castes (AWSC) and Allocation for
Welfare of Scheduled Tribes (AWST) in the Ministries, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether such earmarking by the Union Government constitutes separate financial releases
to States, or is implemented through tagging of funds within Centrally Sponsored and Central
Sector schemes, scheme-wise;
(c) the details of allocations made to Kamataka under AWSC and AWST, year and Ministry
wise;
(d) the total number of Scheduled Caste beneficiaries from Kamataka under major schemes of
the Ministry, including the Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships, Top-Class Education
Scheme and National Overseas Scholarship Scheme; and
