SHRI BHAUSAHEB RAJARAM WAKCHAURE: Will the MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS सड़क परिवहन औि िाजमार्ग मंत्री be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government is aware that State Highway No. 7 in Maharashtra extending from Savalivihir to Bharvas in Shirdi Parliamentary Constituency for which construction work started in 2014, remains incomplete and the stretch from Derde Fata to Lasalgaon has not been widened resulting in severe congestion from bullock carts and trucks especially during monsoon season causing serious accidents and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government has taken any steps to widen the road from Derde Fata to Kolpewadi and extend it up to the nearby sugar factory and if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government has received any requests in this regard from public representatives and if so, the details thereof; and (d) the progress made so far in this regard? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS (SHRI NITIN JAIRAM GADKARI) (a) The Government in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is concerned with the development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs). Savalivihir to Derde Fata section has been declaredas NH-160 and the development of this section is under implementation and scheduled for completion in June, 2026. The remaining Derde Fata – Bharvas – Lasalgaon section is a State Road, the development and maintenance of which is being done by the State Government of Maharashtra through its own resources. As reported by the State Government, the widening works on this section excluding Derde Fata to Madhi (near Kolpewadi) section is under implementation and scheduled for completion in December, 2026. (b) to (d) The Government has received requests from the public representatives for upgradation of this section of State Road and the same has been forwarded to the State Government of Maharashtra for taking further action in the matter. As reported by the State Government, the upgradation of this section is identified for inclusion under State Budget programme. *****
