be pleased to state :
(a) whether the Government has undertaken any measures to promote wool pre-processing research and development, sustainability and value addition in the wool sector, particularly in Rajasthan, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has established or supported Common Facility Centres (CFCs) and other infrastructure for strengthening the wool value chain in Rajasthan and other woolproducing regions, if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether the Government has taken any measures for marketing, branding, and enhancing the domestic and export competitiveness of wool and wool-based products, if so, the details thereof? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री (श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA)
(a): The Ministry of Textiles, through the Central Wool Development Board (CWDB), has been implementing the Integrated Wool Development Programme (IWDP) with a total allocation of Rs.125.99 crore during the period of 15th Finance Commission for the development of the wool sector including wool pre-processing, research and development, sustainability and value addition across the Pan India, including Rajasthan.
(b): CFC Projects have been sanctioned under IWDP in State of Rajasthan and other wool- producing regions including Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Srinagar and Kolkata for strengthening the wool value chain. The details of sanctioned projects are at Annexure -A.
